Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I have to be Lutheran to attend your services?
Everyone is welcome to worship at Trinity. While our services are Lutheran, our message always incorporates the Bible and teachings of God’s love and you don’t have to be Lutheran to share that. Please join us.
Where should I park?
Trinity offers two main parking lots on Arch Street for your convenience. There are also several metered spaces on the street (Arch and Third streets), but you do not have to put money in the meters on weekends.
What are your services like?
Our regular worship services usually average 60 minutes total including confession, hymns, lesson readings and a sermon. We feature traditional services with traditional music played on a pipe organ though Saturday worship sometimes features special soloists and guest musicians. Our talented music director, Mike Kiehner has been known to add special touches like the Eagles fight song on Super Bowl Sunday!
Is there a dress code?
Nope. We want our guests and members to be comfortable and to focus only on the awesome worship services, hymns, lessons and God’s love while we worship together. Let’s leave fashion critiquing on the runway
What about kids?
“Let the little children come to me . . . “ MATTHEW 19:14

Kids are always welcome at Trinity! We offer Sunday school, vacation Bible school, confirmation and an active youth group. Our ushers will welcome little ones with a special children’s bulletin upon arrival to the sanctuary. Visit our YOUTH PAGE for details on upcoming programs and events.

What about teens/young adults?
Teens and young adults have to face a lot of challenges like peer pressure, juggling schoolwork, relationships and part-time jobs. This is a time in life when attending worship services and hearing about God’s love can be comforting and make navigating this challenging time easier. Teens and young adults should know that the Trinity family is here for support and praying for your success.
Do you have a confirmation program for kids?
Trinity has a 3-year program designed for youth to explore the core teaching of our Lutheran faith and the Bible through a series of classes and fun events. Classes start in the fall and run through the school year. Please contact the church office at 570-622-9910 or CLICK-HERE.
Can you accommodate people with disabilities?
YES. Trinity has elevators and our ushers can help with comfortable seating. We also offer an ASL interpreter at one service per month to serve our deaf and hard of hearing community.

What are your COVID-19 health & safety guidelines?

Our current guidelines are following the CDC and PA Department of Health guidelines:

Fully vaccinated individuals (those who have received both vaccine shots or the single-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and are two weeks removed from their
vaccination date) are free to not wear masks should they feel safe to do so.

Those who have not yet been fully vaccinated are asked to continue to wear a mask for their safety and peace of mind.

For anyone who wishes to remain safe by continuing to wear a mask, they are certainly welcome to do so.

As always, we want everyone to feel safe coming back to church and we invite and welcome everyone back to worship in a safe and healthy environment!
