No, it’s not a misprint… the SOUPER BOWL of Caring is held the weekend of the Super Bowl. In this bowl, everyone is a winner! On a day when many of us will be gathering to watch the game and enjoy some food and drink, many people will not be having enough food to eat. This national effort, designed to help people locally, raises awareness about hunger issues and is an effort to help those agencies who provide food to others. This year the Souper Bowl of Caring will take place the weekend of February 12 and 13. So how can you participate? After services, you will find our youth stationed around the church holding soup pots. We are asking all church-goers to donate $1.00 and place it in one of the soup pots. It’s that easy. All donations will be forwarded to the Pottsville Soup Kitchen to help with hunger locally. Thank you for your support in helping our Souper Bowl of Caring become a win-win for all!
