The mission of Trinity Lutheran Church is to provide a welcoming place where the Word is proclaimed and the Sacraments are celebrated. In keeping with this mission, I am writing to ask for your financial support to help us complete building projects and repairs that are necessary to keep our church building open and operational.

Roof Turrets

On February 7^th, 2024, a stone fell out of the top layer of the north turret. After inspection, it was found that the mortar on both turrets had been weathered and is no longer holding the blocks in place.   It was deemed best to remove both turrets down to their base layer and have it re-cemented to cover the remaining layer.  The estimated cost for these repairs is approximately $10,000.

Sanctuary Roof

The current sanctuary roof has been on for over 25 years. An inspection of the roof in November 2023 showed problem areas both on the roof and parapet walls. There are signs that water has been getting between the roof and walls and running down the masonry. The roof replacement will include new shingles, and the installation of new ice and water shields and gutters.

The existing shingles and paper will be removed.  New ice and water shields will be installed along the edges with synthetic underlayment on the rest of the roof.  New architectural high-definition asphalt lifetime shingles will be installed. There is currently a dormer on the south side that will be removed.  This has been a place water has gotten in.  New gutters will be installed on the south side to help control water into the area between the Sanctuary and Sunday school room. The costs for this project will exceed $100,000.

Our goal is to raise a minimum of $100,000 to cover the costs of these projects. The repair costs listed above are estimates only.
