Adopt-A-Child Program

Children from local families who need a bit of help to make the holidays special are able to receive gifts they’ve asked for on wish lists.  You can support this wonderful program by choosing to donate holiday themed wrapping paper, making a monetary donation or purchasing items from a child’s wish list.

Call the church office at 570-622-9910 for additional information or speak to Cindy Bohr.

Food Pantry

Our congregation serves the community in many ways and one of the most impactful ways it through our own food pantry.

Those individuals and families who seek assistance can find nourishing food that has been donated by members, friends and visitors.

Any type of non-perishable food will be accepted and greatly appreciated. You can drop the items in the grocery cart in the hallway across from the church office (near the parking lot entrance).

SUGGESTED ITEMS: Tuna, Tuna Helper, Soup, Crackers, One Pot Meals

As we prepare to celebrate the holidays, please consider making a donation to our food pantry. Here are some suggested items:

Boxes of stuffing, instant potatoes, cans of vegetables, cranberry sauce, jars of gravy, canned fruit, peanut butter, jelly, pasta sauce, beef stew, soups and one-pot meals.

Place your donations in the shopping cart in the hallway outside of the church office. THANK YOU

Trinity depends on gifts from members so we can continue to serve each other and the community.

Offering plates are passed during our services, but please don’t feel obligated to give. If you are a member and are able, please consider placing your monetary gifts in your envelope or signing up for automatic gifts via e-deductions from your checking account. The money collected helps cover the costs of running Trinity Lutheran, our mission in our parish and our mission in the world.

These wooden boxes are built into the rear wall of the sanctuary. They are there to receive your gifts which are used to support ministry with and among the poor and displaced. Gifts placed in the alms boxes buy food for the hungry, lodging for the homeless, bus tickets or fuels for the transient, medicine for the sick and so much more.

As you leave worship, consider dropping a gift into these special collection boxes and know that your gifts will be appreciated by those who receive your help.

2018 Christmas Tribute

Purchase a poinsettia or make a donation in honor or memory of a special person this Christmas.

Share your time & talent and consider helping out by volunteering whenever you’re available. If everyone gives an hour here and there, it would add up to make a huge difference. We need new volunteers to help in many areas.

Check out these current opportunities and feel free to reach out to the pastors and council members with new ideas you may have!:
